Youth Screening Fund

We are proud to share that thanks to the generous contributions from The Secret 3K we have developed a Youth Screening Fund for The Secret Marathon Film. It was always our dream to bring this film to the next generation and we’re thrilled that now schools, Girl Guide units and youth organizations can access the film free of charge through our Youth Screening Fund.

Please read the following information to see if your group is eligible and book your screening using the button below.

Eligibility

• School, Girl Guide Units or Youth Organizations working with youth from 5-18 years of age anywhere in the world

• Minimum audience of 30 youth. Maximum audience size 300 youth

  • If you have a group of 30 or smaller, we recommend combining with another class, unit or organizations to allow more youth to see the film together.

  • If you have a group larger than 300 you can still view the film through a community screening hosted by Demand Films. For groups larger than 300 a fee will be charged with a subsidy provided by the Youth Screening fund.

Availability

• Our youth screening fund will be available to 15 groups between March 2021-September 2021

• Screenings are allocated on a first come first serve basis.

• In the event that we have allocated all of our available screenings, more screening opportunities will be made available as of September 2021.

• We send you a password protected Vimeo link for your requested date with a set number of available views.

All youth organizations who receive the youth screening fund are asked to send a photo of their group or members of their group watching the film and a review of the film which we will post publicly.

• Please note that The Secret Marathon film is rated PG and we encourage instructors and youth leaders to ensure there is opportunity for discussion following the film.

• If you are viewing the film virtually with your students and unsure of how to share a photo of your group consider one of the following options:

  • Have students share a selfie with you of them watching the film and select some to share or create a composite collage of all of them.

  • Have students write on a piece of paper what equality means to them and hold it up to their webcam then take a screenshot of everyone (if using Zoom or Google Meet or another video conferencing platform).

  • Take a photo of yourself or of your computer with your school's logo and or paraphernalia around the computer and the computer cued up with the film on it.
